This Prunus Sargentii tree has been the starting point of several paintings. It is a tree I know well and every year in spring and autumn it amazes me with its show of blossom and autumn foliage. As I drew I became immersed in recording the vast range of firey vibrant colour and getting to know every branch and twig of its spreading structure.
